Bekasi, 23 Februari 2022, Program Studi Sarjana Administrasi Kesehatan Fakultas Ilmu Kesehatan Universitas Medika Suherman melakukan kegiatan Kuliah Pakar secara virtual zoom dengan Tema “Akreditasi Fasyankes di Era Pandemi”. Narasumber yang diundang dalam kegiatan ini ibu drg. Rima F. Zulkarnaen, MARS., MH., CPHR, FISQua. sebagai Direktur Pelayanan Medis RS. RST Dompet Dhuafa.

Materi dibawakan Akreditasi Fasilitas Pelayanan Kesehatan di era pandemi, dan bagaimana mutu pelayanan Kesehatan harus dapat beradaptasi dengan segala kondisi, termasuk masa pandemi. Kegiatan ini merupakan implementasi (MOA) dari kerjasama yang akan disepakati bersama (MOU) antara RS RST Dompet Dhuafa dengan Universitas Medika Suherman.

Melalui kuliah pakar ini diharapkan seluruh mahasiswa Universitas Medika Suherman yang Sebagian besar merupakan calon tenaga kesehatan dapat belajar tentang implementasi mutu pelayanan kesehatan yang efisien, efektif, tepat waktu, aman, adil, berorientasi pasien dan integrasi melalui penguasaan tahapan pada pelaksanaan akreditasi. Mahasiswa dapat mencari informasi atau mendapatkan informasi baik dari perkuliahan maupun kegiatan di luar perkuliahan seperti kegiatan kuliah pakar. Kegiatan kuliah pakar ini bagi mahasiswa Program Studi Administrasi Kesehatan merupakan bagian dari kompetensi dasar yang harus ada pada setiap lulusan administrasi kesehatan serta mewujudkan visi dan misi program studi yaitu menghasilkan lulusan yang unggul di bidangnya dan siap bekerja dalam industry pelayanan kesehatan di Indonesia. Kegiatan ini selain dihadiri oleh mahasiswa Administrasi kesehatan juga mahasiswa di luar program studi sarjana administrasi kesehatan UMS sehingga dapat menunjang kegiatan suasana akademik. #PanitiaKegiatan.

Thursday, 17th February 2022. After MoU was signed by Dr. Triseu Setianingsih, SKM., MKM. from UMS and Ir. Prof. Dr. Ewe Hong Tat from UTAR. UMS and UTAR also present International Webinar, with the theme Traditional Medicine Health Care For Covid 19, with two incredible speakers from both institutions, Dr. Te Kian Kiong from UTAR, and Dr. William Adi Teja, B.Med., PhD. from UMS, with our keynote speaker Prof. Dr. Ir. Suhariningsih. Both speakers highlighted the importance of Traditional Chinese Medicine, for the treatment of Covid 19, and Prof. Suhariningsih as the Head of Indonesia Traditional Health Higher Education Association hopes that traditional medicine research and development will thrive in Indonesia.

In Dr. Te’s presentation session, we discuss about the levels of Covid 19 symptoms, from asymptomatic, symptomatic with no pneumonia, and symptomatic with pneumonia, and all of this conditions can improve by consuming herbal drink and a combination of traditional medicine to manage fever, sore throat and other symptoms of Covid 19. Studies also shows that there are improvementes for Covid 19 patient condition.

In Dr. William’s presentation session, we discuss about a book that explains about febrile disease (Wen Bing). In this book, it has been said that pathogenic heat can occur as a result of the imbalance of yin and yang, and those pathogens can enter a human body through mouth and nose. This pathogenic heat cause illness to the internal organs, especially the lungs, and the effect can influence the function of other organs, such as heart, pancreas, and kidney. Consuming vitamins and other supplements might not be the right treatment, because the principles of traditional chinese medicine is about the balance of the body. So one may need to see a traditional chinese therapist to assess what medicine or supplement one must need to consume to achieve better health.

At the Q and A session, participants of this webinar is very eager to learn more about the Traditional Chinese Medicine. And all participants hope that the regulations in Indonesia will support the use of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the future.

Medika Suherman University (UMS) – Indonesia and Univeristi Tenku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) – Malaysia signed a memorandum of understanding on 17 February 2022. The signatories for the MoU were Rector UMS Dr. Triseu Setianingsih, SKM., MKM. and UTAR President Ir. Prof. Dr. Ewe Hong Tat.

In her remarks, Rector UMS said, “In health services in Indonesia, the government and society are more open in accepting modern and complementary or intercontinental services. The government stipulates regulations in this intercontinental health service through the Minister of Health Regulation No. 17 of 2021 regarding traditional intercontinental health workers. Intercontinental health services are increasingly occupying a separate space and captivating the hearts of the Indonesian people. Hopefully the role of our institution can have a positive impact in advancing traditional health services in Indonesia, Malyasia and other country.”

In his remarks, Prof. Ewe said, “The cooperation between UTAR and UMS will have a broad meaning. This will actively promote cooperation between the two in terms of education and scientific development in the field of traditional Chinese medicine or other disciplines.”

UMS and UTAR believe that with this collaboration, we can move forward together, give each other good for both institutions and advance education in the world and bring goodness to many people. The activity closed with a joint signing and a documentation session. #Red.Humas
